A number of our visitors have asked us to give a summary on our recent and current work of the Vincentian Partnership for Social Justice. Summer time seems to be an ideal time to provide such an account. The past year has been a busy and challenging. The Active Citizenship/Voter Education Programme has been facilitated with approximately 25 community groups and work on developing our budgets showing the cost of a minimum essential standard of living is nearly completed. As our work brings us constantly in touch with people who struggle to make ends meet and whose voice is often ignored we are very aware of the impact of the recent cuts.

We wish all our friends in local communities and our many colleagues a very happy and blessed summer as well as some golden sunshine and blue skies.
